Eden Medical Center has several volunteer opportunities available.

The Eden Medical Center Auxiliary is now taking applications for volunteers over the age of 18 who would like to assist patients and visitors at our Information Desk, in our Gift Shop or as part of our Family Support Service working in Emergency and Trauma Services. There are many different shifts and areas of responsibility currently open. If you love to help others, have a passion for health care, and enjoy a warm and caring encironment, we invite you to join us. High school students and others who are seeking volunteer opportunities in a clinical setting may be interested in working at our Laurel Grove Acute Rehabilitation Unit. Here, volunteers work with our Recreation Therapist to provide patients with activities and events that promote mental and physical well-being. Throughout the year, Eden Medical Center hosts a number of special events volunteers have enjoyed supporting for many years. These events include our annual Run to the Lake and Health Expo (held on the second Sunday of July), our Foundation's Golf Tournament (held in October), our Child Car Seat Safety Check-ups, or other health fairs. The San Leandro Hospital Campus is looking for seniors and mature individuals who want to make a difference in other people’s lives. Volunteers perform a variety of important functions including greeting patients and visitors, delivering flowers and mail, staffing the gift shop, transporting patients, supporting patients’ friends and family, and working on special projects for the administrative team.
