• Senior Flu Clinics at San Leandro and Eden Medical Center.
• Women's Health Symposium.
• Laerdal Airway Management Training equipment for Trauma nurses.
• Eden Medical Center Cancer Support Groups – the EMC Foundation supports 5 Cancer Support Groups at Eden for patients and families facing cancer, helping a loved one or mourning a loss.
• Two Blood Pressure/pulse Ox/temperature monitors for triage.
• Nursing Education.
• 4 new Trauma monitors providing state-of-the-art monitoring of trauma patients to enable health care providers to have immediate and ongoing assessment of trauma patients.
• Pediatric Bronchoscope located in the Trauma Center, this important life saving equipment enables Trauma surgeons to care for patients with breathing problems in the Trauma Center as opposed to transporting them to the operating room.
• "Every 15 Minutes" at Skyline High School, San Leandro High School and Castro Valley High School. We are proud to support this anti-alcohol and drug program.
• Exercise bicycle to provide Laurel Grove Hospital rehabilitation patients better equipment for a faster recovery.
• Golf cart for Food and Nutritional Services to provide prompt service to patients and reduce the risk of injury to employees.
• Medical equipment requested by nurses to provide better patient care, such as IV poles and wheelchairs.
• LCD/DVD to support ongoing training for ER/Trauma staff.
• Continuing education for employees.
• Bladder scanners for Neurology med/surg and fifth floor surgery departments.
• JUZO Perometer for rehabilitation services to enhance the level of patient care provided to lymphedema patients.
• Support for spiritual care volunteers working in Social Work Services department.
• Radiolucent Surgical Table that allows x-ray imaging to be performed during vascular and orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Bone densitometry screening equipment to provide free screening at health fairs and outreach events.
• Smoking cessation programs for community members and staff.
• Emergency First Aid Guidelines to assist local school staff members to respond to emergencies until medical staff can arrive.
• Training for radiology techs in the best use of the fluoroscopy equipment and multi-Purpose room to facilitate better patient care.
